The home care service for older Australians is becoming more popular. It allows people that are becoming fragile due to age, however still have some independency, to stay at home in their own familiar environment instead of moving into a nursing home. The government is encouraging that trend and providing financial packages to fund supportive services.
Currently those financial packages are allocated to home care service providers. From 27th February 2017 there is going to be a complete overhaul and service is going to be allocated to an individual who can then find their provider.
